The R.C. Palmer Math Club is open to all students interested in exploring math beyond class. The club is split into Junior and Senior grades. Both groups meet weekly, juniors with Mr. Kwan in Room 206 (Thursdays after school) and seniors with Mrs. Wang in Room 109 (Mondays after school).
The club welcomes members of all skill levels and encourages everyone to challenge themselves with interesting problems, group activities, and national math contests. Students often participate in events like the MathChallengersBC, Pascal, Cayley, Fermat, Euclid, and Canadian Open Math Challenge competitions.
The Math Club promotes teamwork, mentorship, and curiosity. Senior students often act as tutors, helping others strengthen their understanding and build confidence. The club not only improves problem-solving abilities but also fosters a community of motivated learners who enjoy discovering the beauty and creativity in mathematics.
