Our Math class focuses on helping students understand both the practical and logical sides of mathematics. In Grade 9, students build a strong base by studying key topics such as fractions, percentages, perfect squares, the Pythagorean Theorem, surface area, volume, and financial literacy. These early years also develop important skills like problem solving, numeracy, and data analysis, encouraging students to think critically and apply math in real-life situations.

As students move into higher grades, the math program expands into specialized courses such as Foundations of Mathematics 10–12, Pre-Calculus 10–12, and Calculus or AP courses. Foundations Math focuses on practical applications like graph analysis, scale models, and statistics, ideal for students pursuing studies in the arts or social sciences.
Pre-Calculus, on the other hand, prepares students for math-heavy fields such as engineering or sciences. Overall, Palmer’s math curriculum gives students the flexibility to choose a path that best suits their goals and interests.
