Academically, biology teaches critical thinking, problem-solving, and lab techniques. Students gain experience analyzing data, conducting experiments, and connecting theory to practice, all skills that prepare them for higher-level biology, medicine, environmental science, or research programs.

Personally, biology encourages curiosity, confidence, and teamwork. Students learn to observe carefully, think critically about living systems, and understand the impact humans have on the environment.
There is many hands-on experiences, such as dissections, that make the subject tangible and memorable. Here are some personal opinions from students about the course!
