How To take Social Studies 10, students must first complete Social Studies 9. The course is open to all Grade 10 students and is a required part of the B.C. graduation program. Those who qualify for the Incentive Program may enroll in Incentive Social Studies 10, which offers more independence and advanced projects

Students who enjoy analyzing history, discussing social issues, and making connections between the past and present will find this course engaging and rewarding!
To prepare, it’s helpful to review key concepts from Social Studies 9. Such as revolutions, geography, early Canadian development and practice research/writing skills. Talking to your counselor or current Social Studies teacher can also help you choose between the regular and Incentive streams.
