How to Enroll/Get Started

Enrolling in math at R.C. Palmer Secondary is straightforward. All students in Grades 8 and 9 take regular math courses that introduce essential skills and concepts.

After Grade 9, students can choose between different pathways: Foundations Math, Pre-Calculus, or Workplace Math, which depends on their future education and career plans. For students who enjoy logic and problem-solving, joining Pre-Calculus or AP Calculus offers an excellent challenge and prepares them for STEM fields.

Those who prefer real-world applications of math may choose Foundations, which focuses on statistics, reasoning, and financial literacy. Students are encouraged to talk with math teachers or counselors to decide which course best matches their goals.
